The scorpion is a unique animal with eight legs in the middle of its body. It also has two pincers in the front and a venomous stinger in the back. They like warm, damp climates, like leaves or logs. They mainly live in the northern half of Mexico, South America, the Himalayas, and the western half of the United States. Scorpions are a danger to humans because their venomous sting is lethal in some species. To avoid these animals, you simply have to wear closed toed shoes around where they live and avoid going out at night in those areas.
